Saturday March 7

It has been a most wonderful day today, and I came across something while in my attic that I haven’t thought about since my days back in high school. While in my attic I came across my senior year high school yearbook. While flipping through the pages I couldn’t help but notice the varsity football page, and as I looked at the page memories came rushing through my head. I sat in my attic and sipped wine for hours as memory after memory came to me. Football was a great time, full of young adolescence becoming men as they bashed their heads together in attempts to attract the eyes of the “popular” girls at school. I remember my days as a quarterback, and how much fun both I and Montresor had playing the position. Montresor was also a great athlete and an exceptional quarterback, and if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have been as driven to be the best I could be. I was first-string throughout my four years at high school, and he was always right behind me fighting to get that opportunity to play during big games. Though Montresor never did get into any games other than when the reserves played when our opponents were being blown-out, Montresor never had a bad word to say and was always a good sport in the matter. He could have started on many other high school teams, and that is why I have such an appreciation for him. His abilities contributed to my progression of a great quarterback, and I know he was always happy to see the team winning, even if he wasn’t playing. Anyways, it is late and I must be getting my rest. Till next time friends.
