Thursday March 12
Good evening everybody, tonight is the night before the annual town carnival and I can barely keep myself together due to the excitement I am experiencing waiting for this event to come. Montresor came by my house earlier today while I was at work and dropped a note under my door telling me to get ready for one of the best nights of my life, and easily the best town carnival I have attended. Montresor is such a great guy and a valuable friend, and I am sure tomorrow will be an incident I will remember till the day I die. I cannot be sure exactly what will do while at the carnival as there are so many game booths, food carts, rides, and other cultural experiences just waiting to be visited. I don’t want to be up to late tonight as I will be up the whole night tomorrow so I am going to say goodnight and wish everyone a wonderful day tomorrow. One last thing: Montresor is such a great friend. I will let everyone know how the night goes after the carnival is over. Till next time friends.
Wednesday March 11
I am so sorry fellow blog readers, I almost forgot to post my blog for the day, and only remembered as I was brushing my teeth before climbing into bed for the night. Nothing special has happened today; just another long day at work telling people how to do their jobs correctly and efficiently. It is a rather sad feeling coming home every night to an empty house, and I have little communication with my wife and kids due to the terrible cellular reception at my wife’s parents’ house. Since today was such an uneventful day, I have decided once again to write a post about my favorite wine, Amontillado. Now I know many of you are probably sick and tired of my posting about how superior amontillado is to all other wines, but please do not be drawn away from my blog. I only praise amontillado as it is the perfect wine for any and all occasions. Amontillado’s smooth taste and texture is unmatched by any other wine, and the odor that flows out of an opened bottle of amontillado is an aroma that could hypnotize anyone into a deep state of bliss. I also believe it is no coincidence that all of my favorite and most memorable tasting events have finished the day with a glass of flavorsome amontillado. Oh how the oxidation of amontillado does amaze me! The film that clings to the wine glass stays longer than any other wine I know. Having bored you all to sleep, I too shall rest as it is way past my normal hours. Till next time friends.
Tuesday March 10
Hello again fellow readers, it is a beautiful day and I have just finished my lunch. While on my lunch break for work, I thought I would enjoy nothing more than to write to the people in my life who love me so much they read my blog . It is such a wonderful feeling when I am able to have my lunch break because I am able to enjoy the sandwich I made and clear my pallet from all the wine I have been tasting to make sure we are making only the highest quality wines. My mouth gets very numb towards the latter part of the morning due to all the alcohol coming in contact with my taste buds, and a turkey sandwich puts me right back to where I can taste the impurities in the poorer quality samples of wine. AHA! I just remembered a terrific story of the time when I brought Montresor to his first wine-tasting event. I remember how Montresor didn’t know he was not supposed to swallow every wine he sampled. The poor fellow was stumbling around the vineyard for most of the afternoon and making an absolute fool of himself. Luckily, nobody who saw him knew him personally and the event has most likely slipped his mind. Although it was a little trouble getting him into the car afterwards, he promised me he had a great time and would even go as far as repaying me with a surprise of his own. As you can tell, I am just eagerly awaiting the carnival and the company that my good friend Montresor will bring. Break is almost up, so I better head back to the vineyard. Till next time friends.
Monday March 9
To all of my friends, family, and readers of my blog, I want to start off by formally apologizing for my completely inappropriate actions yesterday while writing my blog for the day. I had way too much to drink at a friend’s house party and I guess I thought it would be funny to write and tell all of you about my night. Even though I am deeply sorry for displaying such an unacceptable behavior, there is no excuse for my actions and the embarrassment I am experiencing has really gotten to me. I hope you all can forgive me and continue to read my blog, as I love getting all the reply-emails and staying in contact with people who share my hobbies, interests, and views of the world. Having said that, I feel the need to take it easy until the carnival comes in a couple days. I want to enjoy my time with Montresor because he has put forth such an effort into making sure we have plenty of activities to do, and I can never thank him enough for wanting to accompany me to the town’s carnival while my family is out of town. I know Montresor is probably going to try and surprise me with some fine wines to drink while we are at the carnival, and I want to enjoy the different drinks and the time spent with my good friend, so I am not going to drink any until then. In the mean time I plan on enjoying the book I just bought from the local book store about the booming viticulture empire. The carnival is only four days away and I am already itching with excitement as I know this year’s is going to be something special, and I know there will be many surprises for both Montresor and I to enjoy. Till next time friends.

Saturday March 7
It has been a most wonderful day today, and I came across something while in my attic that I haven’t thought about since my days back in high school. While in my attic I came across my senior year high school yearbook. While flipping through the pages I couldn’t help but notice the varsity football page, and as I looked at the page memories came rushing through my head. I sat in my attic and sipped wine for hours as memory after memory came to me. Football was a great time, full of young adolescence becoming men as they bashed their heads together in attempts to attract the eyes of the “popular” girls at school. I remember my days as a quarterback, and how much fun both I and Montresor had playing the position. Montresor was also a great athlete and an exceptional quarterback, and if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have been as driven to be the best I could be. I was first-string throughout my four years at high school, and he was always right behind me fighting to get that opportunity to play during big games. Though Montresor never did get into any games other than when the reserves played when our opponents were being blown-out, Montresor never had a bad word to say and was always a good sport in the matter. He could have started on many other high school teams, and that is why I have such an appreciation for him. His abilities contributed to my progression of a great quarterback, and I know he was always happy to see the team winning, even if he wasn’t playing. Anyways, it is late and I must be getting my rest. Till next time friends.
Friday March 6
Hello readers, Fortunato here to tell you the story I was remembering over dinner. It was a Friday, the big day for Montresor and me, it the big basketball game against our high school rivals. Both teams were undefeated; I was the leading scorer during that game followed by Montresor. We played our butts off and until the final 10 seconds of the game. My coach called the time out, we all came to a circle, we were behind my two points and the coach wanted us to win it, he said “Forget overtime, it’s either win or lose”. Now, the Coach asked if any of us wanted to take the game winning shot, Montresor said he was; now I thought to myself that if Montresor made it he will be the hero. I was not going to take that chance I blurted out “Coach I have the most points and better shooting percentage let me take the shot” the coach agreed and said I could take it, I looked at Montresor, and he was furious, I really didn’t care. So I was given the ball and took a shot from the three point line and made it, we won the game. Everyone was jumping except for that loser Montresor, I don’t know why he was angry I was the better man for the job, don’t you think?
